IIFC is pleased to announce the IIFC Photo Competition 2025. The competition recognizes the exciting work being done with FRP composites around the globe. We welcome the submission of any high-quality photos showcasing the use of FRP for construction, including research and field applications. Both academic and industry-led projects are encouraged to apply. IIFC membership is not a requirement for participation.
Competition details:
Photo submission deadline: March 31, 2025
Eligibility: open to all
Prizes: All finalists will be featured in a future issue of the IIFC Newsletter and at the CICE2025 in Lisbon. The following non-cash prizes will be awarded:
- Best photo of a field application or case study
- Most innovative use of FRP
- Sustainability award
- People’s Choice Award
Additionally, student submissions will be evaluated by an international jury based on the following equally-weighted criteria:
- Aesthetic quality
- Uniqueness/originality
- Highlighting a unique and/or innovative feature or application of FRP composites
- Technical merit as described in a 1-page research summary and recommendation letter from the student’s supervisor
The top three student submissions will be awarded cash prizes of $500 (1st place), $300 (2nd place), and $200 (3rd place).
