Task Groups
Introduction
Task Groups (TG) are established within IIFC to promote research and collaboration on emerging topics with widespread interest among both the research and industry members.
TGs are initiated by a steering committee including three members under supervision of IIFC ExCom:

Subject
Six TGs are formed, including:
- TG1: Sustainable Fibre Composite Materials
- TG2: Sustainable end-of-life FRP scenarios
- TG3: FRP in extreme settings
- TG4: Digitalization of FRPs
- TG5: Advanced FRP manufacturing techniques
- TG6: Editorial team of IIFC practice-oriented notes
Objectives and Deliverables
The Task Groups aim to achieve the following:
- Identifying new research trends and needs
- Regular monthly or bi-monthly online meetings
- Organization of IIFC webinar on related topics
- Organization of special sessions at CICE and FRPRCS conferences
- Publication of single articles or special issues in IIFC newsletter and/or international journals (e.g., Journal of Composites for Construction, Structures, etc.)
- Promotion and facilitation of scientific exchanges, including exchanges of students and visits
- The TGs shall have in-person meetings once every two years at the biennial official CICE conference.
- Consideration of applying for financial supports through national or international funding schemes (e.g., MSCA Doctoral Networks, COST Actions, etc.)
- The Chair of a Task Group shall submit an annual report of activities to the Executive Committee. The task duration is for four years.
